Jinja resident sentenced to 40 years in prison for murder

In a recent court ruling, a  Jinja resident identified as Thomas Mpaulo (42) a resident of Muguluka East village in Buwenge sub county in Jinja has been handed a 40-year prison sentence following his conviction for murder.

The convicted individual, was found guilty of committing a heinous act of murder. The court proceedings revealed that the crime took place on September 20,2015 at 11:00pm at Muguluka  East after the couple developed a misunderstanding leading to fight.

The judge, after carefully considering the evidence presented during the trial, concluded that the accused was directly responsible for the victim’s untimely demise.
