Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sam Omala, currently hospitalised at Mulago Hospital, is expressing his desire for forgiveness from anyone he may have wronged.
His son, Mutukuvu Devine Omala, shares that the once formidable officer, now struggling with his health, is unable to communicate effectively but has requested a public apology be made on his behalf.
Initially seeking treatment in Nairobi, Kenya, due to a prolonged battle with cancer, Omala’s condition took a turn for the worse, leading to his return home and subsequent hospitalization at Mulago Hospital.
Uncovering additional health challenges
Further medical examinations at Mulago Hospital revealed not only the presence of cancer but also kidney-related issues, adding to the complexity of Omala’s health challenges.
Retired in 2020 after a distinguished career, including his role in managing civil unrest, Omala had been leading a quiet life until taking on a new position in private security post-retirement, before falling ill and seeking reconciliation from his hospital bed.
