Unveiling the dynamics of sound quality in live performances

Ugandan artiste Azawi participated in a concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel headlined by Congolese star Ya Levis Dalwear. Following her performance, Azawi took to social media to express dissatisfaction with the sound quality provided by Fenon Entertainment.

Azawi’s criticism sparked a debate among fans, with some questioning the validity of her complaints.

Speculation arose regarding potential underlying tensions between Swangz Avenue, Azawi’s management label, and Fenon Entertainment, the sound quality provider for the event.

Music critic Jenkins Mukasa raised doubts about Azawi’s grievances, suggesting they may be unfounded. He pointed out that other renowned artistes who have worked with Fenon Entertainment did not encounter similar issues.

Meanwhile, sound production veteran Tshaka Mayanja clarified Fenon’s role in supplying sound equipment and highlighted the importance of thorough sound checks by artists to ensure satisfaction.
